Martin Daly

Risk-taking is affected by our perceptions of how we are doing in social competition, which is most intense among men. Homicide rates reflect the local prevalence of high-risk competitive tactics, and their variability is predictable once we understand this.

Martin Daly is an world renowned expert in evolutionary psychology, a Professor at McMaster University, and co-author (with Margo Wilson) of three books: "Sex, evolution and behavior", "Homicide", and "The truth about Cinderella".
